Account Information
When you sign in, we collect your email address through Google authentication. We do not store passwords.
Usage Data
We collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, features used, and questions submitted to the assistant. This data helps us improve the Service.
Contact Submissions
When you use the contact form, we store your name, email, and message. Your IP address is used to rate-limit submissions, and a truncated representation of it is retained with your submission for abuse prevention.

3. Data Storage & Security

We rely on a small set of trusted infrastructure and sign-in providers to run the Service. Each has its own privacy policy governing their handling of your data.

We use essential HTTP-only cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Account data is retained while your account is active. Contact form submissions are retained for 12 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@opencivic.net.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
